These include:
- chest pain
- anxiety
- syncope
Only syncope has prognostic value:
- in ventricular tachycardia syncope implies very fast VT, poor LV function or both. Recurrence of VT while on antiarrhythmic drugs may result in death.
- in superventricular tachycardia syncope implies very fast heart rate and not poor LV function. Antiarrhythmics or radiofrequency ablation can fully control syncopal episodes.
