clinical syndromes in endocrinology

The following are common association of symptoms:
- thyrotoxicosis:
- heat intolerance, weight loss, polyphagia, palpitations, increased sweating, nervousness irritability, diarrhoea, amenorrhoea, weakness, exertional dyspnoea
- hypothyroidism:
- cold intolerance, lethargy, swollen eyelids, hoarse voice, constipation, coarse skin
- diabetes mellitus:
- polyuria, polydipsia, thirst, polyphagia, weakness, infections, groin itch
- hypoglycaemia:
- morning headache, weight gain, seizures, sweating, tremor
- primary adrenal insufficiency:
- skin pigmentation, tiredness, loss of weight, anorexia, nausea, diarrhoea, nocturia, mental changes, seizures
- acromegaly:
- fatigue, weakness, sweating, heat intolerance, weight gain, enlarging hands, feet and facial features, headache, visual defects, voice change, decreased libido, impotence
