Similar conditions which cause symptoms of Dupuytren disease are:

  • non-Dupuytren disease - is a unilateral disease usually involving a single digit. Spontaneous improvement of the disease is seen in most with some rarely needing surgery
  • epithelioid sarcoma
  • occupational thickening, hyperkeratosis, and callus formation - seen in a working person's hand caused by chronic friction and pressure
  • soft-tissue giant-cell tumor
  • palmar ganglions, and inclusion cysts
  • stenosing tenosynovitis (1)
