asthma in a child

Asthma is commonest in children, and is predominantly extrinsic.
Asthma that occurs in children is often associated at onset with a recent history of a viral upper respiratory tract infection. In fact a virus associated wheeze occurs in some 20% of children.
25% of asthmatic children have some restriction of physical activity.
It is a disease that is treated primarily in the community.
