foreign body(throat)

Fish bones or other sharp objects lodged in the tonsils or fauces may be removed with forceps under good light.
If the foreign body cannot be seen but there is a history suggesting one, refer if there is:
- sharp pain on swallowing which may radiate to the ear
- severe or worsening dysphagia or drooling
- tenderness in the neck
- fever
