neurological history

In a general patient history, the following are points that particularly relate to the neurological system:

  • changes in sense of smell, vision, taste or hearing
  • change in mood
  • sleep disturbance
  • black-outs or dizziness
  • balance problems
  • difficulty in talking, chewing or swallowing
  • numbness or pins and needles in the face, body, arms or legs
  • weakness, heaviness or clumsiness of the limbs
  • walking
  • normal control over bowels and micturition
  • normal sexual function
