central causes

The central causes of autonomic failure include:
- neurodegenerative:
- autonomic failure with multiple system atrophy
- autonomic failure with Parkinson's disease
- "pure" progressive autonomic failure
- secondary causes:
- tumours e.g. craniopharyngioma damaging the hypothalamus
- infection:
- tabes dorsalis
- Chagas' disease
- spinal cord lesions
