Supraglottic laryngeal carcinoma tends to present late because of the large potential space for expansion.
Muffling of the voice may occur with large tumours.
Hoarseness is rare as the vocal cords are not affected while tumour is confined to the supraglottis.
Painful dysphagia may occur with aryepiglottic tumours.
Some patients present with metastatic neck nodes.
