Symptomatic support may be sufficient in most cases.
Treatments include:
- localised lesions may be treated with curettage
- prednisolone - topical injection or systemically
- vinblastine plus or minus etoposide for severe disease
- other chemotherapeutic treatments may be used
Prognosis depends on:
- the extent of the disease
- the functional compromise of organ systems
The majority remit after a chronic relapsing course.
