drug-induced cholestasis

Drugs which can cause cholestasis include:
- oral contraceptive pill
- sensitivity reaction to:
- chlorpromazine and other phenothiazines
- erythromycin
- sulphonamides
- tricyclic antidepressants
- sulphonylureas
- penicillamine
- gold
- dose-related cholestasis complicates 17-alkylated steroid therapy
Note that halothane causes a hepatic necrosis, not a cholestasis.
