This is the absence of intercourse; the penis fails to penetrate the vestibule of the vagina.
Male causes include:
- impotence
- gross penile malformation
- ignorance / inexperience
Female causes include:
- malformations of the femal genital tract: - vaginal atresia - imperforate hymen
- local disease of the pelvic organs
- psychosomatic disturbance
