The management of clinodactyly is dependent on the degree of deformity. Simple clinodactyly is treated conservatively whereas surgery is reserved for more severe deviation of a digit with overlap of the cascade on hand flexion. Other indications for surgery are detailed in the submenu.

Conservative measures often include splintage and stretching but theoretically, these will have minimal effect upon a progressing clinodactyly that is attributable to a bony malformation such as a longitudinal bracketed epiphysis.
