nasopharyngeal angiofibroma

A nasopharyngeal angiofibroma is a benign tumour which is an uncommon cause of a mass in the nasopharynx and occurs mainly in males between 12 and 25 years of age. It arises from the posterior nose, and is is a mixture of angiomatous and fibrous tissue.

The tumour is benign but causes damage by expansion.
