  • drug: virtually any drug
  • cirrhosis
  • alcoholic hepatitis
  • sarcoid
  • granulomatous hepatitis
  • inflammatory bowel disease
  • factitious fever in Munchausen's syndrome
  • amyloidosis
  • vitamin B12 deficiency

Any of these may result on a pyrexia of unknown origin lasting more than three weeks.
