With hereditary multiple exostoses, the parents or child may notice the presence of hard nodules at the ends of the bones.
Children with this condition are often slightly short, with mild to moderate bowing of the arms or legs. Sometimes one of the lumps may be tender or may cause trouble due to pressure on a tendon.
