dose of oral gold

Initial dose:

  • 3mg twice daily
  • later 6mg as single dose if tolerated

After 3 months:

  • if no response, increase to 9mg daily (as 3mg 3 times a day) for a further 3 months

After 6-9 months:

  • discontinue if no response
