chlordiazepoxide

This is a benzodiazepine anxiolytic, available in 5 and 10 mg capsules and tablets.
In anxiety the usual dose is 10mg 3 times daily. If necessary the dose may be increased to 60-100mg per day. Note that if the patient is elderly or debilitated then half the adult dose is given.
Half-life about 2 days.
