Typical features of septicaemic shock include:
- profound and prolonged hypotension
- fever or hypothermia
- acidosis
- tachycardia
- hypoxia - which may also cause confusion
There may also be associated adult respiratory distress, disseminated intravascular coagulation and acute renal failure.
