  • a meta-analysis has concluded that low doses of vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) are likely to improve the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (1)
  • there is no rationale for giving daily doses in excess of vitamin B6 in excess of 100mg.
  • the authors of the meta-analysis conclude that vitamin B6 is probably effective in relieving overall premenstrual syndrome and in relieving PMS depression (1)
  • pyridoxine can be suggested as a treatment for PMS, at least for the psychiatric symptoms (2)
