minor Jones criteria

These are:

  • raised CRP or ESR or leucocytosis
  • arthralgia - which only counts as one of the minor criteria if arthritis is not one of the major criteria
  • fever
  • past history of rheumatic heart disease or previous rheumatic fever
  • ECG shows prolonged PR interval - which cannot be included as one of the minor criteria if carditis is included as a major criterion
