non-specific toxicities

Non specific toxicities of chemotherapeutic drugs include:

  • marrow suppression
  • alopecia
  • nausea and vomiting
  • tiredness
  • loss of concentration
  • infertility
  • second neoplasms, eg sarcoma
  • peripheral neuropathies
  • impaired hearing, tinnitus
  • anorexia, nausea, lethargy
  • local extravasation - nasty ulceration
  • conjunctivitis
  • nail bed necrosis and nail dystrophy
