clinical features

Systemic symptoms include:
- fatigue
- myalgia
- arthralgia
- Raynaud's phenomenon
More specific features include:
- keratoconjunctivitis sicca
- xerostomia
- parotid, or other salivary gland, enlargement - occurs in 66% of patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome; it is uncommon in secondary Sjogren's syndrome
- chest - possibly infection secondary to decreased mucus secretion
- kidneys:
- renal tubular acidosis
- nephrogenic diabetes insipidus
- Fanconi's syndrome
- glomerulonephritis
- genital tract:
- atrophic vaginitis
- dyspareunia
- pseudolymphoma - splenomegaly and lymphadenopathy which may progress to a B cell lymphoma in about 6% of patients
- peripheral neuropathy
Other features of connective tissue dysfunction may be present.
