Most NSAID drugs belong to the propionic acid group:
- ibuprofen
- naproxen
- flurbiprofen
- ketoprofen
Other agents include:
- piroxicam:
- contraindicated in the elderly because of long duration of action
- indomethacin
- mefenamic acid:
- good for menorrhagia
- not so good in arthritis
- diclofenac
