These include:
- disulfiram - inhibits the oxidation of acetaldehyde
- metronidazole - inhibits oxidation of acetaldehyde
- chlorpropamide - about 1/3 of patients taking it with alcohol develop a facial flush
- verapamil - prolongs the effects of alcohol
