Massive pulmonary embolus is characterised by:
- sudden circulatory collapse:
- hypotension
- cold peripheries
- cyanosis
- central chest pain due to myocardial isachaemia
- hyperventilation
- neck vein engorgement
- coma
- ECG changes - S1,Q3,T3 with right axis deviation and right bundle branch block
