eosinophilic leukaemia

Eosinophilic leukaemia is characterised by an excess of immature eosinophil precursors in the blood or marrow.
It is ultimately fatal but patients may be relieved by corticosteroids, vincristine or hydroxycarbamide (former British Approved Name, hydroxyurea).
