- if concerns are raised following an appropriate history, physical examination
and 12 lead ECG, further evaluation is necessary
- this can include exercise tolerance testing (ETT), echocardiography, ambulatory Holter monitoring and other investigations when indicated
- cardiologists and sports physicians are increasingly involved in the care of patients requiring specialist input.
