    • damage may be diffuse, multifocal or unifocal
    • from proximal to distal the main conditions are:
      • anterior horn cell degeneration affecting motor function only
      • radiculopathies
      • plexopathies
      • neuropathies:
        • mononeuropathy
        • mononeuritis multiplex
        • polyneuropathy

  • autonomic neuropathy

  • neuromuscular junction disorders:
    • presynaptic
    • postsynaptic

  • muscle disorders:
    • myopathies
