rate and rhythm

Ventricular rate (bpm) can be calculated by dividing 300 by the number of large squares between consecutive R waves (provided that the paper speed is 25 mm/sec). For an irregular ECG report the shortest and longest periods and describe the pattern. Give an average rate.
A regular sinus rhythm is normal in adults. In children, sinus arrhythmia is a variant of normal, resulting in a reduced rate on inspiration.
Abnormalities of rhythm can be divided into:
- irregular rhythm
- bradycardia
- tachycardia
