dosage of penicillamine

- Start at 125mg daily
- Increase dose by 125mg monthly until 500mg daily or clinical response acheived
- If inadequate response the dose may be increased to 750mg daily or higher
- Stop drug if treatment continued for 6 months without positive response
- Take before food and do not take oral iron concomitantly
