non-inflammatory synovial fluid

In non-inflammatory conditions the amount of white cells in synvoial fluid is usually less than 2000 WBCs/microlitre with less thn 75% neutrophils.
Examples include:
- Osteoarthritis
- Trauma
- Charcot's joint
- Pancreatitis
- Haemochromatosis
- Acromegaly
- Glucocorticoid withdrawal
- Hypertophic osteoarthropathy
- Avascular necrosis
- Pigmented villonodular synovitis
- Systemic lupus erythematosus
