Tarsal tunnel syndrome is a rare entrapment neuropathy involving the foot. Two types are recognised according to the nerve involved:
- anterior tarsal syndrome
- posterior tarsal syndrome
As with the analogous carpal tunnel syndrome, symptoms may be worse at night.
