intermittent chemotherapy

Intermittent chemotherapy has the following advantages:
- it exploits the difference in recovery rate between normal and malignant tissues
- it is less toxic
- it allows administration of higher doses, hence higher fractional cell kill
- it allows restoration of the immune system between doses
