Treatment is by surgical excision.

Treatment of recurrent tumours can be achieved by drug therapy, for example metyrapone for Cushing's syndrome due to adrenal adenoma, op'-DDD used for treatment of Cushing's syndrome due to adrenal carcinoma. Patients with Conn's syndrome which is the result of an inoperable tumour may be treated with spironolactone - an aldosterone antagonist.
