Sensory ataxia is commonly found in the following circumstances:
- peripheral neuropathy
- spinal cord disease - especially interfering with posterior column function - for example:
- cervical myelopathy due to cervical spondylosis
- multiple sclerosis
- subacute combined degeneration of the spinal cord
- tabes dorsalis
