  • sublingual, e.g. buprenorphine

  • transdermal
  • oral, e.g. NSAIDs, paracetamol
  • rectal
  • subcutaneous
  • intramuscular, e.g. morphine
  • intravenous, e.g. opioids
  • epidural, e.g. opioids, local anaesthetics
  • subarachnoid
