unstable psoriasis
Last reviewed 01/2018
Brittle psoriasis is characterised by thin, irritable scaly areas rather than thick, stable plaques. It arises infrequently either in a patient with existing stable psoriasis or de novo. It may be precipitated by topical or systemic steroid therapy.
Lesions may rapidly generalise resulting in erythrodematous or less often, acute pustular psoriasis.
