The right middle lobar bronchus is a branch of the right principal bronchus that forms at the hilum of the right lung within the lung parenchyma. It passes laterally for about half a centimetre before it divides into the two segmental bronchi of the right middle lobe:

  • lateral segmental bronchus; supplies lateral bronchopulmonary segment
  • medial segmental bronchus; supplies medial bronchopulmonary segment
