myotomes

A myotome is a group of muscles innervated by a specific spinal segment. Some important myotomes are:
- C6 - biceps, brachioradialis, radial extensors of the wrist
- C7 - triceps, ulnar extensors of wrist, finger extensors
- C8 - finger flexors
- L4 - quadriceps femoris
- L5 - extensor hallucis longus
- S1 - plantar flexors
