adverse effects of sympathomimetics

The adverse effects of sympathomimetics include:
- fine tremor, usually in the hands
- nervous tension
- headache
- peripheral vasodilation
- sinus tachycardia
- hypokalaemia after high doses - salbutamol
- hypersensitivity, including paradoxical bronchospasm
- impaired glucose tolerance in diabetics
