treatment of atrial flutter

The main goal of treatment is to cardiovert to sinus rhythm.
There are three methods of cardioversion:
- DC shock
- pharmacological
- overdrive pacing
If sinus rhythm is not achieved then the rate of ventricular response should be controlled.
