coronary veins (anatomy)
Last reviewed 01/2018
The vast majority of the venous drainage of the heart is returned to the circulation via the coronary sinus into the right atrium. A number of veins drain into the coronary sinus - see submenu. These tend to run with arteries on the surface of the heart.
A minority of the venous return is carried by:
- venae cordis minimae
- anterior cardiac veins
